A new tuition-free public charter school will be opening this August, just in time for the 2015-2016 school year.

Sandra Goldstein, CCIM, broker and owner of Sandra Goldstein Commercial Real Estate, represented Smart Charter LLC in the purchase of a 22,722-square-foot school campus located at 13300 S.W. 120th Street in Miami, Florida, for $6,700,000.

Improvements were constructed in 1971, expanded in 1982 and 1992, and situated on a 9.47-acre interim use zoned site with an underlying Industrial & office land use.

The property previously operated as The Heritage School, a fully-accredited private school with an international orientation for students from pre-kindergarten through 8th grade.

Goldstein sought out the off-market asset on behalf of the buyer, negotiating a mutually beneficial transaction for both parties. The seller, Lifetime International Education LLC, represented itself in the deal.

The buyer will lease the property to a charter school for grades K through 8.

At full capacity, the new Bridgeprep Academy Charter School campus will accommodate more than 600 students.
